Nowgam Residents, Attendants Protest Against Absence of Staff at NTPHC Nowgam Sonawari

Locals on Saturday morning protested outside New Type Primary Health Center (NTPHC) at Nowgam village of Sonawari in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to protest against the unavailability of doctors in the health centre. Witnesses said to media, that residents of Nowgam village held a protest against the absence of doctors in the health centre. They raised slogans against the hospital authorities and local administration. According to reports NTPHC Nowgam has a staff of 16 people but only 13 of them were present today.“The doctors in NTPHC putting local populace into a lot of inconveniences. The Social Activist Nasir Rasool told to media, the doctor Gh Mohideen Kaloo who has been appointed here is not attending the hospital from last 3 months. He comes once in a month, he said.
